The Impromptu started on December 27, 2009 as an unplanned 

private game, put together on an hour's notice. What sparked the 

game was an observer in another game, trying to get a dollar off

of one of the players. The host of that game graciously helped young 

Billy out, and his next request was to get another game going so 

he could play with us. And thus, The Impromptu began.

On December 27th, 2023,  over 700 games later, The Impromptu 

celebrated it's 14th anniversary. As we approach our 6th year here 

on ColorUp, we'd like to thank everyone for coming out each week and 

a HUGE thank you to ColorUp for giving us a place to play.

Many have won 2 in a row, but as of April 5, 2024 there is only one 

player to win three Impromptu titles in a row. That was in the summer 

of 2010. Come play with us and try to beat that record.
